About this Event
This storytelling workshop is part of a series called, "The Porch." The theme of the The Porch centers around the reslience of Black Communities in Atlanta that were destroyed because of the interstate highway construction. We are asking our seniors in Atlanta to tell us their story so that we, as city planners, do better. An optional recording sessin of your stories will be held at a later date. These stories will be on archived online for the public. How did the decimation of Black communities in Atlanta during highway construction affect you, your family, or loved ones? How can city planning take a more human-centric approach? Join us for this 90-minute, free workshop with Shannon Turner of Storymus. A small lunch will be provided, first come, first serve.
