About this Event
STOP THE BLEED® is a national campaign that is designed to train, equip, and empower participants on how to control life-threatening bleeding in an emergency. When you participate in this one-hour training, you will learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding, how to intervene with direct pressure, pack wounds, and apply a tourniquet, as well as where bleeding control kits are located throughout the airport. Take the STOP THE BLEED® training course and become empowered to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens!
Every single person has the potential to save a life. All badge holders are encouraged to learn this life-saving skill. Participants will learn:
- How to recognize life-threatening bleeding
- How to intervene with direct pressure, pack wounds, and apply a tourniquet
- Where bleeding control kits are located throughout the airport
Find out what three quick actions can help you save a life. An isolated bleeding injury can happen anywhere anytime – and mass casualty incidents can occur without warning. The number-one cause of preventable death after an injury is bleeding. Instead of being a witness, you can help until first responders arrive because you’ll know how to STOP THE BLEED®.
Even if you took the training in the past, First Aid training is a perishable skill, and it is always good to keep your skills fresh!
Each Participant is awarded a Certificate of Completion and CCD DEN Employees will also earn 200 Vitality points upon completion.
