About this Event

Events to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence are fast approaching! It’s time to get your historical costume ready for these events.

Walt Whitman Birthplace is offering a sew-along workshop to help you create your own 18th C. cap.

Pattern, all materials and instruction in stitches and technique are included. A brief discussion of 18th C. ladies’ dress, highlighting caps, will be presented.
