About this Event

STANDING STRONG: Skills for Navigating Bullying & Harassment at Work


Bullying and harassment at work can leave people feeling powerless, isolated, or unsure how to respond.

This workshop uses experiential learning, improvisation, and realistic scenarios to help participants build confidence, practice interventions, and strengthen their voice all in a safe, supportive environment.

Across two interactive sessions, participants explore how to recognize harmful behaviours, respond with clarity and courage, and support colleagues who may be targeted.



Workshop Schedule

Day 1 — May 16 (2:00–4:00 PM)

Understanding the Dynamics of Bullying & Harassment

Explore what bullying, microaggressions, and workplace harassment look like in real life

Identify the emotional and psychological impact on individuals and teams

Learn how power dynamics shape reactions and silence

Practice first responses through guided improv‑based exercises

Build awareness of personal triggers and internal barriers


Day 2 — May 17 (2:00–4:00 PM)

Building Confident, Respectful, and Effective Interventions

Engage in scenario‑based role‑plays inspired by real workplace situations

Practice speaking up safely — for yourself and for others

Learn tools to interrupt harmful behaviour without escalating conflict

Explore strategies for supporting colleagues who experience bullying or racism

Strengthen your confidence through collective learning and feedback



Participants Will Leave With:

Practical tools to respond to bullying, harassment, and racism

Greater confidence in speaking up and setting boundaries

A clearer understanding of power dynamics and how to navigate them

Communication strategies for real‑world situations

A sense of solidarity, knowing you’re not alone and that collective action matters

Embodied practice, not just theory: you will have tried the tools, not only heard about them
