About this Event
Your agent wants it on your resume. Your friends say “you should do stand-up” every time you tell a story. So why haven’t you?
Usually, it’s not a lack of ideas. It’s the lack of a finished set and a place to try it.
This 4-week intensive removes the guesswork. You’ll learn how to shape your perspective, sharpen your timing, and turn raw ideas into a structured, working set.
Each week builds toward a clear goal: getting you on stage with material that holds up in front of an audience.
This intensive is all about learning how to build a set and having the confidence to perform it.
What You’ll Walk Away With
- A polished 5–7 minute stand-up set
- A clearer sense of your comedic voice and POV
- Stronger timing, structure, and joke construction
- The confidence to perform at open mics and live shows
Instructor
Mike Perkins (The World Famous Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store) is a producer and “Best of the Fest” winner who knows how to build sets that work in the real LA comedy circuit.
