Every round starts with a prompt from our app cutting through the small talk. Some rounds will be hilarious, some deep and wild cards keep the energy moving. Our first three events sold out, and one was just featured in The Times. Now we are doing speed dating! Limited tickets.
The team
Hey, we’re Death of Small Talk. We all see it: we are all hyper connected online, but disconnected in real life. So we built an app that turns deep conversations into something fun, not heavy. Thousands downloaded it. Now we’re bringing it to real life. The goal? Spark real conversations and change how we connect.
The event
This is a straight speed dating event for ages 21–30. (If that’s not you, don’t worry. We’ll be hosting queer speed dating events soon and much more . Follow “Death of Small Talk” on socials to keep posted).

The setup
Download the paid app (£4.99, one-time payment, no subscription, no ads, yours for life). Show up. We pair you off. 10-minute speed dating rounds. Each one starts with a prompt that skips “so what do you do?” and lands somewhere real. Some rounds get deep. Some get hilarious. You might leave with butterflies, a conversation that sticks with you on the train home or a number in your phone, because the night actually meant something.

The night
7:15 PM – We kick off.
7:15 – 8:15 PM – Five 10-minute rounds. New faces. New conversations. 8:15 – 8:45 PM – Interlude, Chill, grab a drink, chat with whoever caught your attention.
8:45 – 9:15 PM – Three final rounds. The night wraps here.
9:30 PM+ – You've connected. You've laughed. You've opened up. Stick around. Grab another drink. Carry on the spark you just lit.
