Steps from the station platforms at Waterloo, you’ll find GRIND (in BrewDog) — a cosy, contemporary and spacious setting, perfect for an evening of introductions to 15 eligible dates. An infinite selection of beers, alongside other lovely beverages, is available at the bar, while your host and a great group of single Londoners await for a feel-good, carefree evening of speed dating. Plus, enjoy a FREE drink provided by the venue — Monday evenings have never looked so good!
Your host will be at the venue from 19:30 to welcome you. Please arrive on time for registration, to grab a drink from the bar, and to receive a brief overview of how the evening will run. You’ll be given an optional name sticker, a pen, and a note card to help keep track of everyone you meet.
Ladies will be seated at comfortably spaced, discreetly numbered tables within the venue. When speed dating begins, gents will rotate between tables for 5-minute dates, giving you the chance to get to know one another. Your host will signal the end of each date and guide rotations in ascending numerical order.
Between each date, you’ll have a moment to note your thoughts and whether you’d like to reconnect — for your reference only.
Midway through the evening, there will be a 15-minute comfort break to use the facilities, visit the bar, or socialise more freely. Dating will then resume for the second half of the event.
Once the speed dating rounds are complete, the bar will remain open for relaxed socialising. Later, simply log in to your dashboard to leave feedback and see your matches — created when interest is mutual — so you can continue the conversation at your own pace.
