Margaret Thatcher was born 100 years ago next month. As her authorised biographer, Charles had unrivalled access to her private papers and conducted exclusive interviews with her, her family and her closest allies. The result? The Centenary Edition of his portrait of the first woman prime minister as you've never seen her before – complex, driven and transformative.

Charles will reflect on her legacy, draw sharp parallels with today’s political landscape, and ask why conservatism today – with its split between the Conservatives and Reform – is in much greater confusion than it was then.

Before that conversation, Charles, with Kate Ehrman, will present his short semi-dramatisation The Fall of Margaret Thatcher: A Whodunnit – a retelling of Thatcher’s last three days in office.

With character voices, authentic dialogue and sharp commentary, the drama captures the decisive moments that forced her resignation after 11 and a half years of supreme power.

Guests with tickets that include a signed copy of Moore’s hardback book, RRP £40, will be able to collect the book on the night.
