About this Event
If you’ve ever left a conversation thinking, “I should have said something”… this session is for you.
Many capable, high-performing women avoid or delay negotiation. Not because they lack the ability, but because it’s often framed as uncomfortable or confrontational.
So instead, we stay quiet.
We downplay what we want.
We accept what’s offered.
Or we avoid the conversation altogether.
And over time, this can quietly shape the opportunities we step into, and the ones we don’t. It also means slower or even stalling progress for women individually and collectively.
This session is not about becoming someone we’re not. It’s about approaching negotiation in a different way.
Because negotiation isn’t just something reserved for formal settings. It shows up in everyday moments, often influenced by how we’ve learned to navigate power, perception, and expectation.
In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore how to reframe negotiation through a more collaborative and values-led lens. One that moves away from conflict and towards clarity, advocacy, and better outcomes.
Together, we’ll begin to unpack how gender norms and expectations can shape the way we approach negotiation, often influencing when we speak up, how we’re perceived, and what we feel able to ask for.
Rather than “fixing” how you negotiate, this session introduces a feminist approach to negotiation, one that focuses on reclaiming your power, building confidence, and creating more authentic and effective ways of working with others.
In this workshop, you will:
- Understand why negotiation can feel uncomfortable, and how power and perception play a role
- Learn how to advocate for yourself in a way that feels aligned, not forced
- Explore a more collaborative approach to negotiation, grounded in clarity and shared outcomes
- Gain practical ways to approach conversations you may have been avoiding
You’ll leave with:
- A clearer understanding of what negotiation actually is, and what it isn’t
- Greater confidence in navigating conversations that matter
- Language and tools to approach negotiation with more clarity and intention
- A more grounded sense of how to advocate for yourself and others
