About this Event

Spaces of Inclusion: Localising Global Strategies to Tackle Inequality

Contemporary inequalities continue to be determined by the spatial conditions within which people live, migrate and form communities. Effective policies to tackle inequalities need to consider, among other factors, these spatial conditions and be tailored to the local context of the groups and communities they seek to support.

Our multidisciplinary panel will discuss how spatial conditions intersect with climate, migration, urban marginalisation and gendered vulnerabilities to shape contemporary inequalities and how global strategies can be effectively translated into local interventions to tackle inequalities. Join our panel discussion to hear from experts and gain insights into real-world policy challenges and solutions.

This event is the first of two sets of events focussing on the topic of spatial and digital inequalities, as part of the UCL’s Grand Challenge of Inequalities.
Who can attend?

This event is free to attend for all students, staff and members of the public. We look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be a timely and thought-provoking conversation.
