About this Event

Join us Tuesday September 9th, 6pm at the Salud Center to share our CBA and Policy demands for South Works development. We will also discuss organizing with local residents in preparation for the expected sale and ground-breaking at South Works.

Over the past year, we held multiple community events where we heard directly from many long-time residents on what they would like to see in a Community Benefits Agreement at the proposed Quantum development at the former South Works U.S. Steel site. As well as policy measures to prevent displacement of long time residents living in the Southeast side. This includes addressing rising property taxes, increased rent and utilities such as electricity and water especially with the incoming developments at South Works.

Through the formation of committees and direct feedback from residents living near Bush and Schaefer Park, we will share our demands for a CBA at South Works. Here is our and detailing our CBA and policy demands.
