The South Park neighborhood of San Diego will come alive on Saturday, June 6 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with the return of the newly renamed South Park Summer Stroll, a free, daytime community event designed to showcase the charm, diversity, and small business spirit of the neighborhood.
Formerly known as the Daytime Walkabout, the South Park Summer Stroll builds on a beloved tradition while offering an engaging and accessible experience for families, neighbors, and visitors of all ages. More than 25 local businesses throughout South Park will participate, offering a wide variety of activities including free fitness classes, food and drink tastings, live music, and exclusive in-store promotions.
Attendees can begin their experience by checking in at either Wicked Fit or South Bark Dog Wash, where they will receive a custom event sticker, a neighborhood map, and instructions to participate in a community-wide scavenger hunt. Guests who complete the scavenger hunt will be entered into raffle drawings featuring prizes from participating businesses, with expanded opportunities to win this year.
“The South Park Summer Stroll is all about bringing people together to experience what makes this neighborhood so special,” said Lauren Lucek, South Park Business Group’s Secretary of the Board. “It’s an opportunity to explore our local businesses, connect with the community, and enjoy a welcoming, walkable event during the day.”
Organized by the South Park Business Group, the event reflects the group’s ongoing mission to promote visibility, awareness, and a thriving business environment for the independently owned shops, restaurants, and services that define South Park’s character.
