💼 Agenda:

  • A look at the private sector and how landlords can thrive for 2025 by Angharad Trueman – Group Lettings Director for Andrews and President of ARLA Propertymark (the UK’s largest agent membership body with 18,000 members across the UK), Angharad has a decade and a half of experience in the UK rental market managing tens of thousands of properties across the UK. Regularly featured on local radio and even the BBC for her insights, Angharad has been featured in local and national press coverage, was shortlisted as one of the ‘most inspirational business women in the South West’ 2019’s list and won ‘Rising Star’ at the Negotiator Awards and conference back in 2018. An adept public speaker, Angharad regularly gives presentations and talks to letting agents and landlords across the UK, and became President of ARLA Propertymark in June 2024. Angharad will give you insights into incoming rental legislation and how to keep your property investments safe, whilst minimising void periods to ensure your rental income remains consistent.


  • Patrick Ansell of Taylor Rose Solicitors - Head of landlord and tenant litigation at Taylor Rose, Patrick has many years of litigation experience on behalf of landlords, Patrick will take you through Assured Shorthold tenancies and their common pittfalls, he will be providing interesting case studies on where landlords have gone wrong, to protect you and your property investment for the future. He will also cover the Renters Rights Bill and the detail on how it currently stands.


  • Nathan Moore, trustee of Andrews Charitable Trust (ACT), will also provide an overview of the [Establish] project, a collaborative initiative between the trust and Andrews Property Group. This project offers safe, affordable housing for young people at risk of homelessness in Bristol, complemented by essential support services from local youth organisations such as 16-25ip as they support the young people into the world of work and fully independent living”


  • Guy Welfare from National Trading Standards Estate Agency and Lettings team -Material Information - what you need to know as a landlord - Guy will take you through the changes to Material Information that were published at the end of 2023, and how this will effect the prepwork ALL landlords will need to do before advertising a property for sale or let. With a background in agency, Guy is well versed to help you navigate the pittfalls many landlords fall into when it comes to this piece of lengthy legislation.
