As designers rethink how organizations use their space, addressing new challenges remains a vital part of making the office work. We'll discuss solutions for addressing the health, safety, and well-being of those in the workplace, based on understanding NRC, STC and Background Noise. We will focus on how best to combine acoustic solutions for maximum benefit as defined in LEED 4.1 and WELL V1 & WELL V2
What is Sound Bathing?
Sound bathing is a deeply immersive experience where you are "bathed" in sound waves produced by crystal bowls. During a session, you'll lie down comfortably while a practitioner plays crystal bowls that create resonant vibrations that promote a profound state of relaxation. The sound frequencies work to quiet the mind, release tension, and gently guide your body into a meditative state. It's a wonderful way to de-stress, reduce anxiety, and promote overall well-being.
What to Expect
Upon arrival, you'll find a comfortable space where you can lie down. We encourage you to bring anything that will enhance your comfort, such as:
- A yoga mat or blanket
- A pillow
- An eye mask
- Water bottle
Throughout the session, all you need to do is relax and allow the sounds to envelop you. There's nothing specific you need to "do" – just be open to the experience.
