SOUND BATHWith Cello
With Hannah-Rae Hampson & Rikke Louise
Immerse yourself in the therapeutic vibrations of cello, singing bowls and gongs in this 2 hour workshop. Join cellist Hannah-Rae Hampson (UK) and yoga teacher/sound therapy practitioner Rikke Louise for this special sound bath.
Hannah and Rikke Louise will guide you through different soundscapes, inviting you to take a deep dive within yourself as you listen and release.
The sound bath will be a celebration of seasons and energies changing.
As we are transforming from the Summer heat and releasing the last of the fire energies, we open ourselves up to a time of cooler temperature, in nature and within. It’s time to take a step back, to pause and to welcome back the grounding sensations, to slow down, to reflect and to calm the breath. September is a beautiful time for nature to start preparing for hibernation, allow the final leaves and petals to drop to the ground, return to earth, all part of the circle of life - simply pausing, and so must we, reuniting with the Earth element, which is connected to the Late Summer season.
What to expect:
In this workshop you will be guided through a pranayama to settle body, mind and breath for the sound bath experience.
For the sound bath we want you to make yourself as comfortable as possible, lying down or sitting up, building a nest with perhaps blankets and bolsters, making the body rest in stillness for 90 minutes sound experience.
Mats, blankets, bolsters and eye pillows will be available in the studio, but feel free to bring an extra blanket or pillow.
There will be no breaks during the sound bath, but tea will be served before and after. It’s recommended to not eat for three hours before the sound bath.
This event will be held at the Christianshavn studio and will be limited to 19 participants.
