SOUL LAB! ✨
Each week you’ll get the opportunity to witness and/or join a space where music meets the flow of the soul. Many musicians are booked up performing but miss sharing space musically without the pressures of performing. At Soul-Lab’s Open Jam you’ll get to explore the incredible artists and musicians of this beautiful city in their most raw and open moments and you can even join in too. We encourage all MC/rappers, musicians and vocalists of any kind to join in and bring back music to medicine with us.
To facilitate our first session back we’ll be having the incredible Producer & MC @SunnyPOC joining us with his beats for any MCs to jump on and spit some lyrics alongside our incredible MC hosts: Dialekt & Denairo who will also share some originals with us!
Our resident drummer and percussionist supporting these jams will be Tao Issaro alongside our host, facilitator and vocalist: VERONIKKA who will welcome you into her sonic sanctuary! This Indigenous-Egyptian/Sudanese songstress whose music moves hearts and bodies alike will ensure any nervous folks have a buddy up there jamming with them. She’s known to fuse soul, Afro, reggae, and rock and her sound is as raw as it is liberating- woven with stories of truth, healing, and resistance.
Music was never for performances but as medicine to awaken, empower, and unleash your soul and its voice. Her jams are more than a show- they’re a ritual of liberation and reconnection. Come ready to embrace the movement as VERONIKKA holds space for authenticity, self-expression, and soulful freedom. Guitar, keys (not full range), ukulele and Cajon drum will be available as well as aux for open mic moments later in the night for any creatives not comfortable with flow-state jamming.
This isn’t just music. It’s a movement.
