Sony Penthouse – W London
Ready for a fast-paced, creative challenge in the heart of Soho?
Join Sony United Kingdom for the Sony Soho Photo Challenge — a high-energy, three-hour photography experience based at the Sony Penthouse inside W London.
Open to all skill levels, from beginners to professionals, this challenge invites you to compete individually or in teams of up to four (each participant must hold a valid ticket). You’ll sign out a Sony camera and lens from the Sony Penthouse, head out into the streets of Soho and Chinatown, and put your creativity to the test under time pressure.
You’ll have three hours total to:
- Sign out your camera
- Capture your images on the streets
- Return to the Sony Penthouse
- Edit and submit your final image
Final images must be posted on Instagram using #SonySohoPhotoChallenge, tagging @sony.unitedkingdom, @epgroup.co, and @danieljm.visuals.
What to expect
- A three-hour, adrenaline-fuelled photo challenge
- Solo or team participation (up to four people per team)
- Loan access to Sony Alpha cameras and G / G Master™ lenses
- Street photography across Soho and Chinatown
- On-site editing and image submission at the Sony Penthouse
- A fun, competitive, and community-driven experience
Camera and lens models cannot be guaranteed but will be allocated subject to availability.
Talent guidance
You are welcome to arrange your own talent (models or actors).
- Any talent requiring access to the Sony Penthouse or internal W London areas must hold a valid ticket
- Filming or photographing talent externally around Soho and Chinatown does not require a ticket

All camera brands are welcome, though Sony equipment will be provided for the challenge.
About the Sony London Creative Weekend (20–22 March)
Across the weekend, we’ll be hosting 10+ Sony photography and video sessions at the Sony Penthouse at W London.

Who can attend
This event series is open to all ages.
Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All participants must hold a valid ticket.
What to bring
- Valid government-issued photo ID plus a secondary form of ID
- Laptop with editing software and charger (essential for this session)
- Two high-capacity, high-speed SD cards (recommended: 128GB, V30 or higher)
- Water bottle and a small snack
Arrival information
Please arrive 15 minutes before your session start time.
Due to the tightly scheduled programme, late arrivals may not be accommodated and tickets may be forfeited.
W London Hotel arrival instructions:
Take the lift to Level 1 Reception and wait for a Sony or W London team member, who will escort you to the Penthouse at the start of your session.
