This meeting of Library Mixtape (formerly Vinyl Record Listening Club) is a little different, we're officially partnering up with to bring you some special programming!
About WRTI: WRTI is a member-supported, non-commercial radio station for classical music and jazz serving Greater Philadelphia, PA, NJ, and DE. WRTI is hosting a Sonny Rollins Weekend to celebrate his 95th birthday (9/7/25) from September 4-8th. Special programming starts with at 6pm on Thursday, September 4th and concludes with at 6am on Monday, September 8th. Most shows on WRTI are participating- you can expect between 2-3 Sonny Rollins songs every hour!
For our September meeting of Vinyl Record Listening Club, we're doing a deep dive on . We have a guest co-host: (he/him) of WRTI's program. Julian will spin vinyl in the library collection from 5:30-6:30PM, then we'll be rolling with member selections from 6:30-7:30! BYO is welcome if you have any Rollins vinyl, but you can also choose from our selection of library albums. Please help us know how many people to expect! RSVP at our Eventbrite! NOTE: Your ticket doesn't reserve you a seat, it just helps us know how to set our room up!
