Somatics, Relationships, and Systems: Moving from Survival to Connection
Most of us were never actually taught how to be in relationship; we just picked it up along the way. Somatics, Relationships, and Systems is a space to unlearn the habits of isolation and relearn the art of being human together. This is a peer space for beginners. Come as you are.
Through three deep-dive sessions, we move beyond "politeness" and get into the real work of building trust:
Class 1: Regulation & Self Knowledge
Before we can show up for others, we have to know how to show up for ourselves. We explore Somatics—the "Window of Tolerance"—to understand what your feelings actually feel like in your body. You’ll build a personal toolkit of self-soothing activities to help you stay grounded when things get heated.
Class 2: Relationships & The Art of the Repair
Relationships aren't about avoiding conflict; they’re about how we handle it. We use Non-Violent Communication (NVC) and "Boundary Wheels" to navigate the messy middle of human connection. You’ll learn the "Rupture and Repair" process—turning friction into a bridge rather than a wall.
Class 3: Systems & Moving With Integrity
We don’t live in a vacuum. Our relationships are constantly shaped by the systems around us—capitalism, patriarchy, and the "culture of violence". We’ll look at how to move with integrity even when the world feels heavy, choosing collaboration over competition and "power with" instead of "power over".
"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." - Viktor E. Frankl
