The Mass in B minor is widely regarded as one of the greatest achievements of choral music. Over the last 25 years of his life, Bach combined several of his favorite cantatas into a masterpiece designed to showcase his life’s work, incorporating a variety of musical styles, and influencing generations of composers.Prior to the concert, Dr. Daniel R. Melamed will give a talk about the Mass in B Minor. Dr. Melamed is professor emeritus of music in musicology at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and a past president of the American Bach Society. His talk begins at 2:00 pm.

Tickets can be purchased online, or from any choir member. Seating is general admission, and there will be one intermission.
