About this Event
The Soil Association’s Organic Producers Board (OPB) would like to invite you to an upcoming regional meeting in Southwest Scotland. We want to meet and hear from you, and to share what the Soil Association and the board are focusing on - which recently has included establishing a new OPB group in Scotland.
What to expect:
Ruth Ashton-Shaw, who farms at Low Auldgirth Steading, Dumfries, is a member of the new Scotland board and has kindly agreed to host a get together at Low Auldgirth on Monday 16 March, from 11:00 to 14:30. Low Auldgirth Farm produces organic meat, eggs and wool from heritage breeds which are sold direct, alongside accommodation and seasonal dining events.
Ruth will be joined by other regional board members from northern England and Scotland, as well as:
- Scotland co-Director David McKay
- Scotland farming lead Colleen McCulloch
- Scotland Business Development Manager Alison Muirhead
Please come and join us for a good discussion, refreshments and meet the board members who represent your interests in the south of Scotland and north of England. Bring family, friends and neighbors along, whether certified with SA or others, or not certified.

11:15 pm – Farm walk
12:15 pm – Light lunch
1:00 pm – Discussion and Q&A
2:30pm - Close
