Our guest speaker for the next Crichton Conversation is John Burns OBE

John is the Chief Operating Officer of NHS Scotland, a role he has held since July 2021. He oversees national health performance and delivery, including unscheduled and elective care, NHS resilience and emergency planning, and winter and pandemic preparedness.

With more than 38 years’ experience across NHS Scotland and over 20 years in chief executive leadership roles, John brings deep operational insight and strategic expertise from across the Scottish health system.
