About this Event
Join us for the day 1 of our Growing Sales Beyond the UK series.
Day 1 introduces the foundations of international trade and the benefits exporting can bring to a business, including income growth, diversification, and access to new customers. It begins by addressing common barriers which may be faced by women-led businesses when considering or beginning to export. This should help participants recognise and overcome practical, structural, and confidence-related challenges.
The day then explores international opportunities and the main routes to overseas markets, including direct selling, ecommerce, and working with agents or distributors. It provides structured guidance on researching overseas markets, assessing product suitability, customer demand, and cost implications. It also introduces product controls, regulatory requirements, and export compliance considerations that might affect certain product types.
