So Much More: A Solo Art Show by Nire Nah | Mar 6 - 29, 2026

Nire Nah is an artist whose work wanders wherever it wants. Throughout the highs and lows of a lifelong healing journey, artistic expression has been a foundational tool in her mental health toolbox. She creates intuitively, externalizing her inner experience in pursuit of self-understanding, self-acceptance, and self-trust.

This exhibition unites two series from Nire’s pre-recovery years, when she sought both self-escape (Cave Paintings) and self-control (Creature of Habit). Together, these two contradictory narratives present the best and worst of her then-undiagnosed inattentive type ADHD.

Creature of Habit is an illustration series comprised of 430 different (but not so different) iterations of the same portrait - one for every day, week, month, and year - of a creature stuck in a cycle of executive dysfunction.

The Cave Paintings series, by contrast, is an abstract expressionist romp through a wandering mind, offering absolute freedom for nonlinear processing, scattered bursts of focus, inconsistency, and distractibility. In a Cave Painting, executive dysfunction is a boon - not a burden.

✨ The exhibition runs through March 29. Nire's originals and prints are available for purchase, as well as her smaller works, postcards, mystery packs, and zines, which can be found at Loohoo's Artist of the Month Shrine. Drop in 11AM–6PM Wednesday–Sunday at 1380 Queen St W to see and shop Nire's work in person.
