So Kids SOAR 2026 Prom: "Magical Menagerie" Presented by So Kids SOAR, St. Albans School and Dynasty AV & Entertainment.
So Kids SOAR is organizing a prom for young adults with physical and developmental disabilities. We are excited to bring back this annual event where our participants and volunteers can let loose, dance to great music, and celebrate with each other! Our past themes have been: Galactic Space Adventure, Adventure Awaits, Under The Sea, Under The Big Top, A Starry Night, A Magical Kingdom, Superheroes, Western Whoopee and A Wizarding World. This year, we encourage all of our guests to dress up for "A Magical Menagerie", THINK animals or magical creatures - lions, tigers, unicorns, dragons, and any other creatures (real or make believe)!
What: A 2-hour prom, hosted by our venue and volunteer sponsor St. Albans School. There will be live music provided by Dynasty AV&E and DJ Vicious, snacks, fun activities, dancing, and more! Un baile de graduación de 2 horas, organizado por nuestro lugar y patrocinador voluntario St. Albans School. Habrá música en vivo proporcionada por Dynasty Ave y DJ Vicious, bocadillos, actividades divertidas, baile y más.
Who: This event is open to youth and young adults aged 13 - 30 with disabilities of any type (their siblings/cousins are invited too).

- Volunteers- Must be at least age 15 or over and have been a previous SKS or DFKDC volunteer; those who register who are not first-time volunteers must email Glenda Fu at [email protected]. Volunteers - please note that there will be no area for your belongings, please keep your important items with you at all times or leave them locked in the car. We are not liable for lost, stolen, or missing items.
- Parents - Enjoy Our Parent Respite Lounge! All parents must remain on premises through the entire clinic for security reasons. However, we will have a parents lounge stocked with refreshments and hors d'oeuvres for you all as well! Think of this as a little parent respite night where you can dress up (we encourage it), bond, and enjoy two hours to yourself. We will find you if anything urgent is needed but encourage you to enjoy some time to yourselves. Your participants will be buddied up with a dedicated volunteer upon arrival and you will be led to the parents lounge.
When: This event will be held on Friday, May 15th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm EST (Parents: Please arrive no later than 6:15 PM or you will be asked to leave, registration will begin at 5:15PM)
