Wine and fragrance don't usually share the same room - wearing a scent while tasting wine is a well-known no-go. But the two worlds have far more in common than you might think, and we wanted to celebrate that with an exclusive event alongside our partner .
Scent is intimately tied to memory and emotion, and nowhere is that more true than in wine. If you've ever read a tasting note and felt like you were stepping into an imaginary world - all stone fruit, forest floor and sea breeze - you'll know the feeling. Wine writing, much like the language of perfume, tends toward the poetic, the evocative, the almost impossible to pin down.
For this event, we've carefully paired wines and fragrances to bring their unique personalities to life - and to help you explore both worlds with fresh eyes (and a sharper nose).
About Olfactive O
Olfactive O is a London-based independent perfume house creating scents designed to be felt as much as smelt.
Founded by artist and perfumer Olivia Da Costa alongside her secret perfumer, the collection explores fragrance as a form of self-expression with each scent built to evoke a mood, a memory and a version of yourself.
Through its signature Sniff & Sip® experiences, Olfactive O creates a dialogue between the glass and the skin. Perfume is paired with wine not to analyse but to open conversation, instinct and connection.
