Sketching at Laurel Hill Gardens - Starting a Nature Journal

Join botanical artist and teacher, Robby Schlesinger, for an evening of sketching the beautiful plants and flowers at Laurel Hill Gardens in Chestnut Hill.

You will learn to observe the basic geometry of plants so that you can draw them easily and accurately. You’ll learn to plan beautiful and interesting pages that will keep you inspired to continue with your journal, to record your interactions with nature and the world around you.

Beginner, intermediate, and advanced artists will all find new things to learn in this class.

Time: 6-8 pm

Attire: Please wear layers and comfortable footwear - this workshop will take place in the Courtyard and Greenhouse.

Materials: Sketchbook, drawing pencils, eraser, kneaded eraser, ruler. You may also bring colored pencils or fine-line markers.
