Pennyfarthing Comedy and Birch & Caven present SKETCH-O-TERIC. Two sketch groups join forces to produce a show full of absurdity, fun, and meaningless connection.

So much of sketch comedy is about trying to hold up a mirror to society and poke observational fun at the world around us. This show does none of that. Instead, this show is an hour of sketches that we think are hilarious whose topics have little-to-no bearing on anything relevant to most people. But then again...we aren’t most people.

PENNYFARTHING COMEDY IS Caleb Alexander, Edward Barbini, and Kevin Turner. CALEB ALEXANDER is an NYC-based comedian, actor and director, with training from Brooklyn Comedy Collective and UCB. He founded Short Cuts NYC, a Brooklyn-based film troupe that produced over 170 short films in one year. EDWARD BARBINI is a comedian in NYC. He studied at Magnet Theatre, UCB, and appeared in several comedic shorts. KEVIN TURNER is a comedian in NYC. He performed in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, the World Series of Comedy, the Del Close Marathon, and various private events. He produces comedy shows with Hubbub Comedy.

BIRCH & CAVEN IS Kayleigh Birch and James Caven. They wrote and produced their own sketch series at The PIT, opened for The Chris & Paul Show (NBC's Bring the Funny finalists) at NYC Sketchfest, and wrote/performed Hindenburg The Musical at Caveat last summer. Meeting as interns at The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, they instantly bonded over their love of absurdist comedy. During the day, Birch is a Story Editor on Google’s “Epic Career Quest,” and Caven works at The Tonight Show.
