About Leesa Richards
A Detroit native, Leesa Richards started her career as a dancer on a world tour with the legendary Whitney Houston. Soon after she combined her love for music and dance, earning her the role of Mary Magdalene in the national tour of the Broadway musical, Jesus Christ Superstar. Richards earned critical acclaim leading to featured performances throughout the US and Europe. Leesa continued to develop her vocal prowess via associations with soul greats Gerald Austin, Peabo Bryson and Dionne Farris.
Over the years she has performed with many name artists including Faith Hill, The Bee Gees, Gloria Estefan, Julio Iglesias… and Ms. Richards had the opportunity of recording backing vocals for none other than the legend, Barbra Streisand!
