In the beautiful setting of the Sarasota Bayfront, enjoy an inspirational evening of dance with The Sarasota Ballet Studio Company and students from The Margaret Barbieri Conservatory.
About
As part of the Education Department, The Sarasota Ballet Studio Company provides an opportunity for young dancers to prepare for a professional career. The Studio Company provides a comprehensive training curriculum for dancers to refine their artistic and technical skills alongside gaining valuable performance experience.
Studio Company members have the chance to rotate into main Company class and understudy main Company roles. Many of the 2024-25 Studio Company members are graduates of The Margaret Barbieri Conservatory’s Trainee Program.
Performing in the local community is an important part of the Studio Company’s outreach. In previous years, the Studio Company has performed as part of a collaboration with Key Chorale, Liechtenstein Nights at Marie Selby Gardens and at retirement communities including Plymouth Harbor and Valencia Lakes.
Know Before You Go:
- The Bay park address is 1055 Blvd of the Arts, Sarasota FL 34236
- Free parking is located around the site and all parking lots remain open — along Blvd of the Arts and in front of the Van Wezel, Municipal Auditorium and Blue Pagoda. Please avoid parking in designated Sarasota Orchestra parking areas.
- Construction of the new Town Square (located between the Municipal Auditorium and Art Center) is underway and affects pedestrian routes between the parking lot along N. Tamiami Trail and venues west of Van Wezel Way (incl. The Bay park, Van Wezel, and Holley Hall). Signs are posted to direct you between these locations. - All pets must be non-aggressive and on a leash at all times. Owners are expected to pick up after their pets.
