About this Event
What does your personality say about your reading habits? Come by Sick Stories pop-up at Loohoo on October 18th to find out! ✨
Statistically, 27% of the population is considered disabled, but you’d never know by the lack of representation in media and literature, right!? 😾 We’re here to change that.
Sick Stories is bringing you a curated selection of zines, gifts, and books by Disabled, chronically ill, Mad and neurodivergent girlies, gays, theys and guys (so basically everyone). 📚
We’ll be bringing:
- Surprise poems in a lucky dip format
- Zines
- Fiction, non-ficion, and poetry books
- Free personality quizzes to match you to a book!
Who is Sick Stories, you’re asking? We’re a new radical bookstore and micro-publisher in Toronto looking to destigmatize and un-taboo talking about the different ways our bodies and brains can function. Come by to join the conversation! Loohoo is a wheelchair accessible spot with a bathroom upstairs. 💬
PS - Disabled is not a bad word!
