Shout About Sex is a welcoming, inclusive event bringing people together to talk honestly about sex, relationships and rights.About this Event
Shout About Sex- A one-day event in Supported Loving
Let’s talk about sex, relationships, and rights
Shout About Sex in Supported Loving (inspired by Carla Withers - Shout about Sex in Surrey) is a FREE, friendly, open event where people come together to talk honestly about sex, relationships, bodies, and what matters to them.
It is a space for people with learning disabilities to talk and learn about relationships, sex and sexuality. Families, carers, and support staff are welcome to come along too.
What’s happening on the day?
- A range of stalls with resources on dating, sexual health, staying safe, and more
- Inclusive workshops you can join in with
- Time to chat, listen, ask questions, or just look around (plus a free lunch!!)
You can take part as much or as little as you like.
Why Shout About Sex?
Too often, people with learning disabilities are left out of conversations about sex and relationships, or given information that does not make sense. This can leave people feeling confused, unsupported, or unheard.
Shout About Sex in Supported Loving is about changing that. It is about confidence, choice, rights, and having space to talk openly without embarrassment or shame.
