The Masterclass
Day 1 - Discovering presence; fundamentals of body, breath and voice; ended with text work on monologues
Day 2 - A culmination of the work resulting in a showcasing of everyone’s monologues
About the Coach
Georgia is an Australian actor, director, and voice coach. She trained as an actor at Flinders Drama Centre and at LIPA. Georgia has performed as Carol in ‘Oleanna’ by David Mamet, with Renato Musolino, directed by David Mealor, and performed at the Adelaide Festival Centre; as Viv in ‘Di and Viv and Rose’ by Amelia Bullmore, directed by Rachel Burke at RUMPUS theatre; and as Lady Bracknell in ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ by Oscar Wilde, produced by PurpleDoor.
Georgia is currently training with Patsy Rodenburg. She is the youngest person ever to become a Patsy Rodenburg Associate. As a voice coach, Georgia has assisted on ‘Don’t Touch My Stuff’, written and directed by Francesca Hill.
About Patsy Rodenburg
Patsy Rodenburg OBE is a renowned voice coach and authority on Shakespeare and Poetry. Her work centres around the ‘Three Circles of Presence’ and the fundamentals of breath, body, and voice. She has worked with many of the greatest actors, playwrights, and directors; including Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian Mckellen, Daniel Day-Lewis, Samuel Beckett, Harold Pinter, Trevor Nunn, and Tim Burton. Patsy was the Head of Voice at the National Theatre for many years, and has recently been appointed Emeritus Director of Voice at the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Only Associates are accredited and qualified to teach Rodenburg™ work. Similar sessions run at £200ph.
