Join planting desginer and shade loving plant specialist, Susanna Grant to learn all about the potential for planting in shady places. This talk will cover a wide range of plants that will work in different types of shade, useful planting combinations for tricky areas and the importance of shade planting for wildlife. A celebration of north-facing shady gardens, balconies & courtyards and an appeal to turn side returns into miniature woodland copses rather than a dumping ground for bikes!
Susanna runs Linda, a dappled courtyard space in London’s Hackney that sells shade-loving plants for sills, balconies, courtyards and gardens. She has also written the Bloom Gardener's Guide - Shade - Work with the light, grow the right plants, bring dark corners to life.
Entrance is via Charterhouse Square, not the Goswell Road entrance.
