Jumoke Verissimo is the author of three poetry collections and a poetry anthology on Police Brutality in Nigeria. She has also written a children’s Book and a novel. Her latest poetry collection Circumtrauma is published by Coach House Books, 2025. Her work has received critical acclaim and recognised with several awards. Her writing explores traumatic re/constructions of everyday life and its intersection with gender, focusing on themes of love, loss, and hope. She currently teaches in the Department of English, Toronto Metropolitan University.
Richard Greene, a Newfoundlander, teaches creative writing at the University of Toronto. He is the author of internationally acclaimed biographies of Edith Sitwell and Graham Greene, as well as four volumes of poetry with a fifth, Cannibal Rats, forthcoming from Vehicule Press in 2026. His poetry has appeared in many journals and anthologies and has been recognized with the National Magazine Award (Gold) and the Governor General’s Literary Award.
