🫱🏽🫲🏻Community Partnership: BWB & Instituto Familiar de la Raza
This year Burnal Equinox is partnering with Burners Without Borders (BWB) and Instituto Familiar de la Raza (IFR) to support community wellness initiatives in San Francisco.
For over 40 years, IFR has provided culturally rooted mental health and community support services for the city’s Chicano/Latino/Indígena communities. Their work is guided by the principle In Lak’ech — Tú Eres Mi Otro Yo (“You are my other self”), emphasizing shared responsibility for community wellbeing.
One program supported by this effort is Salud y Bienestar Indígena (Indígena Health & Wellness), which fosters emotional and spiritual healing for Indigenous families through language, culture, and traditional practices.
