About this Event
Sew Social Newham is a community sewing group, meeting on the 1st Saturday of every month. Everyone is welcome and it's free to attend. Simply choose a time slot... 11.00-13.30 or 13.30-16.00 (this ticket is for the afternoon session 13.30-16.00).
Bring along your own materials to sew your own project. 1 ticket reserves 1 straight stitch machine. If you prefer to bring your own machine then there's no need to book a space, but you will need to contact us so we can make space for you. If you would like to share a machine with someone you know then continue to book 1 ticket, then contact us with the name of your guest who can turn up without a booking. If you need an overlocker, then please contact us so we know to prepare one for you.
The venue has a cafe on site and there is a Sainsburys nearby to purchase refreshments.
Before proceeding please note:
- Under 18s must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.
- Unfortunately we don't teach, but the group is friendly and supportive. So that beginners aren't disappointed we recommend taking a basic sewing class before joining us. Our meet ups are the perfect place to practise your sewing skills.
- We try to make the space as welcoming and safe as possible. Please contact us if you have any special requirements.
- Our spaces often sell out, so no shows and late cancellations mean other people miss out. Please check your calendar carefully before booking. If you're not able to make your session, please cancel your booking on Eventbrite as soon as possible for the benefit of those on the waiting list.
