🔥 Fireside Chat: On Power, Consent & Leading from the Inside Out:
Our guest is Ada Parris, keynote speaker, tech futurist, and activist with over 20 years transforming cultures and building decentralised innovation environments. She's worked with Google, Unilever, Ogilvy Labs, and the EU Council.
Her book, Leadership Legacy, asks a question we don't ask ourselves nearly enough: what type of ancestor do you want to be? It's a manifesto that fuses technology, nature, Indigenous wisdom, and radical self awareness into a new philosophy of conscious leadership she calls Cyborg Shamanism.
The conversation at the centre of the chat: What would it mean to lead from a place of genuine consent?
We'll sit with questions like:
- Where did you learn what power looks like, and whose version was it?
- What have you surrendered about yourself to be seen as a leader?
- What's the difference between service and self erasure?
- The Dom/sub dynamic requires you to know what you want, name it, and hold it with care. When did you last do that?
- What system are you in right now that rewards your self neglect?
Ada will read a passage from Leadership Legacy, and then the room becomes the conversation.
