Sennel Gardens would love your help working to convert a vacant lot into a garden.
You will be a garden assistant which closely aligns with BLS role 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse. You will be asked to manually plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables, fruits, nuts, horticultural specialties, and field crops. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops.
You will be trained on all aspects, and we will only assign work based on ability. We thank you for your sharing your time and skill set with us and please do not hesitate to reach out with any further questions or to sign up!
Please note all lots are within an 8 minute drive of the Benning Road Metro and location will be assigned no later than 2 weeks before your selected day. Shuttles will be provided from Benning Road Metro.
