About this Event
Frank Rudolph Williams was a native Washingtonian, devoted teacher, coach, husband, father and avid sports fan. He instilled in his students the importance of education, hard work, leadership and community service. Throughout his childhood, these ideals were fostered by his parents and teachers in the District of Columbia public schools. They would become the focus of his work with young people and lead him to a life dedicated to serving others. The mission of the Frank R. Williams Scholarship Fund is to provide financial support to Calvin Coolidge Senior High School senior students who are seeking higher education. Successful awardees exhibit strong leadership qualities and a commitment to education and community service. In order to continue these efforts and keep alive Williams' legacy, we host the annual Two-Mile Fun Walk and other fundraising events. The Annual Two-Mile Fun Walk will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025. On-site registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m.
