Join us on on the National Mall as we unite to support individuals impacted by co-occurring disorders—addiction and mental health challenges. Volunteers are essential to the success of this event, and community service hours are available for those who need them.
DC Walk 4 ReCovery 2025 has a wide range of roles available for volunteers, and we need your help to make this event run smoothly! Here’s how you can get involved:

Help check in participants, distribute event materials, and answer questions.

Guide walkers along the route, provide directions, and ensure safety.

Cheer & Engagement Team: Cheer on walkers, offer words of encouragement, and spread positive energy.

Assist with setting up and maintaining water stations, ensuring participants stay hydrated.

Capture moments from the event and share updates on social media to keep the community engaged.

Help break down event infrastructure after the walk is complete.
Together, we can raise awareness, inspire hope, and help make a lasting difference in the lives of those affected by the stigma regarding addictions and mental health that are known together as co-occurring disorders.
