Join us in exploring the importance of understanding sensory processing, which is essential for self-care and wellness!
About this Event

Do you have times of the day when you have difficulty focusing either because there just seems to be no fuel in the tank or you are overwhelmed with thoughts, energy or emotions?

How can we change our levels of alertness to be “just right” for the task at hand?

If our internal engine is in high speed it may be difficult to pay attention, stay in your seat and complete tasks. If we are lacking fuel in the tank and our engine is low, we may be lounging and daydreaming unable to mobilize to tackle the day.

Gaining insight into sensory strategies we use to assist in achieving that just right level of focus allows us to be able to use them when we need them and promotes well-being, self-confidence, learning, as well as improving relationships with family, friends and co-workers.

Learning Objectives:

 • Participants will identify what strategies they are currently using to self-regulate.
 • Participants will explore sensory strategies for increasing alertness and calming for optimal alertness.
 • Gaining the ability to self-regulate our alertness and focus promotes wellness for everyone!
