Imagine receiving a secret map that leads you through hushed woods, winding toward a place few have seen—maybe a lush greenbelt trail, a best-kept-secret park on the edge of town, or even someone’s private backyard sanctuary under the stars.

As twilight deepens, you arrive.

You sink into your seat by an ancient creek bed or beneath a canopy of trees, and the air begins to shimmer with the first notes of live string music—echoing through limestone and leaves, carrying you somewhere timeless.

Your registration includes the secret coordinates to this hidden after-dark concert experience.

For over 35 years, I’ve invited thousands of seekers into my world of sound and story—blurring boundaries between music and nature, ceremony and spontaneity.

Secret Strings After Dark is the newest chapter in the Strings in the Woods journey—named Best of Austin 2024—a ritual of acoustic magic, shared under open skies, far from the noise of modern life.

Arrive early, grab a taco at Taco Deli or to go food on the way, then follow the map into the mystery.

What to Bring:• Hiking shoes• Water• Towel or yoga mat• Camp chair, blanket, or pillow• A friend. And a sense of wonder.

Side effects may include: soul-level relaxation, nervous system healing, goosebumps, spontaneous smiles, deep connection to nature and self, and the feeling of being truly seen and held by community.

“Will took us on a musical journey in nature that was incredible and therapeutic. We had a small group and hiked along a trail that was fairly leveled due to one of the hiker’s physical condition. Along the way Will made sure all of us were taken care of and having a good time. We were later joined by another amazing musician/cellist Charles. The only downside to this trip is that whenever I’m hiking now I miss Will and his gang of musicians. I’ve been spoiled. Next time I will bring my teenage kids.”
