About this Event
In its 20+ year history SFS has delivered teaching to over 250 delegates. Aimed primarily at reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons, but also welcoming those from other disciplines, it delivers professional-level sculptural tuition in a beautiful location in Marylebone, North London, over a 3 day weekend. Led by the plastic surgery consultant Mr Simon Withey [MS FRCS FRCS(Ed) FRCS (Plast)] Sculpture for Surgeons holds the philosophy that the observational skills acquired through sculptural practice are of great utility in the field of aesthetic, maxillofacial and reconstructive plastic surgery in terms of clearly visualising and shaping three dimensional anatomical form. These skills can only be acquired through the type of intensive active observation and feedback gained working with the 3-dimensional clay of this learning environment.
