Scripted Social - Play Reading Group (March's Read)
We invite you along to 53two Studio in Manchester for our March play reading group session ran by Jessica Moir who is a creative facilitator and director! Join us on 28th March, 2026 at 10:00 AM to dive into our selected script which for this month is four new short plays in development by four emerging writers! Let's gather together, share our thoughts, and enjoy the magic of theatre in a safe, communal setting. No acting experience required, just bring your enthusiasm and love for the stage!
The writers involved have come through the Fresh Voices programme at Guide Bridge Theatre.
The plays are:
- The Librarian by Michelle Lockwood
- Not all Bears by
- Date Night by
- Take me to your Leader by
This will be a really exciting event for all participtants and great for the writers to get feedback on their work! We hope for this to be the first of many of our short play in development events.
Our morning is spent reading the plays and in the afternoon, we play around with some of the scenes in a relaxed, loose rehearsal setting!
