WATCH THE FILM TRAILER HERE:

12noon -1.30pm: Screening of the Sci-Fi thriller, The Silent Messenger.

The Silent Messenger had a budget within reach of almost anyone. Using a small cast/crew and clever techniques in production/post-production, we were able to tell an epic story and deliver a film that has a production value far higher than the budget.

We want to show you how we did it so you can make your own shorts and feature films today.

1.30-2pm: Film Q & A.

We’ll have an informal chat answering specific questions on how we made the film. We’ll share everything we’ve learned to put you ahead on your own filmmaking journey.

2-4 pm: Lunch* and filmmaking masterclass

Using many film examples, here's where you will:

Discover the resources you already have and how to use them effectively to make a film.

Learn how to choose/develop the right idea, so you can start making your film today.

How to create suspense and keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

Learn how to work with a minimal crew and limited budget to create a high quality film that people will want to see.

Try out techniques working with actors and non-actors, directing them to believable and compelling performances.

Learn how Hollywood films choreograph actor and camera movement to get engaging drama out of any scene.

Learn how Hollywood films use dozens of invisible techniques that they never talk openly about, in editing and post-production, to radically change, improve and even save a film.

Finally, you'll learn how to find and develop your audience, avoid the pitfalls, get into festivals and make films that audiences want to see and get your career as a feature filmmaker on the right path.

Come along and start your filmmaking journey today.

*A free lunch and filmmaking graphic novel will also be provided.
