Joining us from France is another Bristol debut in full-band-mode; Gyeongsu.
A project comprised of contradictions: indebted to the lineage of Lo-fi guitar and tape music, but often actually quite shiny and well recorded. We're in indie-rock territory for sure but it can be closer to hip-hop and trap in it's trappings.
It would be pointless to try deny the influence Dean Blunt and Joanne Robertson have had here, a laconic melancholia permeates almost every track. Hazed and not phased. Languid subtlety is the name of his game, though that's frequently shattered by sub-bass pressure, soaring strings, glittering samples and overt rockist guitar solos. Lowkey in excess...
