Basé à Brooklyn, SCHUR brouille les lignes entre indie rock, hip-hop et sonorités lo-fi. Inspiré aussi bien par Led Zeppelin que par le rap et le reggae, il compose, enregistre et mixe ses morceaux depuis son appartement new-yorkais, cultivant une approche résolument indépendante.
Avec des titres comme “Therapist” et “Timezone”, il impose un univers sincère et mélancolique, où riffs de guitare et beats feutrés traduisent une tension intérieure toujours sur le fil. Porté par des lives à la fois intenses et intimes, SCHUR s’impose comme une voix singulière de la nouvelle scène alternative américaine.

Schur is afkomstig uit Brooklyn, en vervaagt de grenzen tussen indierock, hiphop en lo-fi-klanken. Hij laat zich inspireren door zowel Led Zeppelin als rap en reggae en componeert, neemt op en mixt zijn nummers vanuit zijn appartement in New York, waarbij hij een resoluut onafhankelijke aanpak hanteert.
Met nummers als ‘Therapist’ en ‘Timezone’ creëert hij een oprechte en melancholische wereld, waar gitaarriffs en gedempte beats een innerlijke spanning weergeven die altijd op het randje balanceert.
