Guitars and bass with fat sounds and deep drums will bring you into the mood of dirty clubs those years. The trio consist of: Manuel Bellone who has his roots in the tradition of folk and American country music, fused with a strong spirit of rock ‘n’ roll; Sandro Pittari, an established Sicilian drummer, historical member of bands such as Don Diego Trio as well a session player for big prominent names from USA and Marcello Castellucci, a Sicilian bassist and highly regarded session player in the Italian rock scene.
With the idea of fusing Manuel’s original songs with Sandro and Marcello’s southern rock sound, the three musicians began their work of arranging and researching the most significant songs for the project, hence the name The Southern Blues Society.
