About Savenor’s Butchery

Founded in 1939, Savenor’s Butcher Shop has been a cornerstone of Boston’s food culture for over 85 years. We practice the craft of whole-animal butchery, honoring every cut and ensuring nothing goes to waste. Our butchers have supplied generations of chefs and home cooks, including Julia Child, who made Savenor’s her personal butcher, while staying true to our commitment to quality, sustainability, and education. Today, we carry forward that legacy by teaching the skills and traditions that connect people more deeply to the food we eat.
